SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

The Lavaud Blanche cottage follows a sustainable tourism approach; namely integration in a local rural development dynamics, environmental friendly design and operation.

Among the enviromental impact of tourism, we are concerned by the following:

Direct environmental impact
Tourism generates 5% of global CO2 production
Among these CO2 production, 75% are due to travelling

To contribute to minimise these impacts, our approach is:

An environmental friendly design , in order to minimise its direct impact, and to use or re-use local ressources and materials (use of masonry heaters utilising local wood production, therefore contributing to the local enconomy
The compensation of our own CO2 production, and hosts encouragment to compensate for their travels
